(d. 1874) Polish bookseller and publisher from Warsaw and a German-speaking poet of Jewish descent. During the November Uprising, he supported freedom aspirations. The Merzbach bookstore was a meeting place for writers and scholars. He sold the banned works of Słowacki and published Poezje Mickiewicz.
