(1905-1941) Historian; researcher of the history of the Polish working class in the 19th century and the beginnings of the labor movement in Poland, social activist. He was arrested several times for communist activities. In September 1939, he left Warsaw and became deputy director of the Regional Archives in Białystok. In 1941, after the German attack on the USSR, he went east and disappeared there without a trace.
